There’s something in the Air

Posted By: Jayenne MontanaJanuary 13th, 2012

These great “Air instruments” are a great novelty gift for that special ‘musically challenged’ person in your life. Finding these online gave me a real giggle, but reading on, I learned that these were created as a campaign by an Australian packaging design firm to help raise money to create self-sustainable creative workshops in schools for children who’s lives are unfortunate enough to never really know the joys found in creative play.

In addition to selling the Air guitars, drums, triangle and sax, the campaign included such fun and ridiculousness as public Air busking and competing in the Play Air competition.”

Have you notice all the great features and benefits that these Air Instruments that leave their “real” counterparts wanting?

I’m loving the “compatible with Mac or PC” :D

These are very fun, I love a good air guitar and I like the little touches like ‘unique silent ting’ & ‘so light, like its not even there’.

I also like the vacuum formed plastic containing the ‘air’!

This is a nice story as well as being a fun product. But something does seem strange as the principal of ‘air’ music is you don’t hold anything isn’t it? The best bit is the copywriting – very clever touches.

the funniest part of it all is that there is nothing in the packaging – or if you prefer… it comes with a REAL air instrument in the packaging.

I love the packaging and the copy on it and that it’s for a good cause but not really seeing the point of it, I suppose I may buy it as a joke present for someone.
