The Power of Brand online
At a recent networking event I was asked by a potential new client “do I really think a company name, brand and website appearance makes that much difference?”. We had a long interesting conversation about this, and I have to say at first I thought the answer was obvious – a resounding Yes. And while that is still the answer it was interesting the mis-trust this business owner showed.

Visualising Brand Values
I was recently preparing a tender for a client and needed to explain the benefits of establishing brand values when starting an identity and branding project. Many of our clients will have heard of this term but not perhaps sure what they mean or what they do with them even if they did decide to create them.
Well, brand values should guide your whole business, and help you make strategic decisions about service delivery etc. They can also be the best way your company can differentiate itself from your rivals, but that needs exploring another time as that is a complex subject.

Check out a range of clips on YouTube produced by leelefever. He has created some really useful and interesting clips explaining things like Social Media, Twitter and Blogging among many others. As well as being helpful they are produced in a very simple but cool way, conveying the messages much quicker and more effectively than a big production training video could. Read Full Article

Temporary website landing pages
A client recently asked me should they close their existing site and add a temporary “come back soon under construction” style page instead. We are currently planning a new website with them. For them the answer was No, leave the current site up as it still performs a function and their existing clients are not aware of an imminent brand a website strategy.
