Having worked in a barrister’s chambers as a marketing manager I know how hard it is to create a new identity for a set of chambers; and particularly to break away from the traditional wigs and gown look and do something really creative.
So I think Mash have done a great job rebranding family chambers 14 Greys Inn Square by renaming it Fourteen. For those not in the know – barristers’ chambers are usually named after the address at which they preside.
The new identity uses a hidden ‘14’ numeral and illustrator Oivind Hovland was commissioned to help create ‘a strong visual language with unexpected imagery’. I think the website and marketing collateral manages to look both quirky and corporate, an interesting mix. What do you think?
