Creative packaging is becoming more the norm as brands fight to be noticed amongst their competitors on a supermarket shelf.

Japanese design firm D-Barcode input on making packaging interesting by creating eye-catching and fun bar codes.


Instead of the usual black-and-white lines, the firm turns the stripes into playful works of art like a cascading waterfall, a cityscape and streaks of falling rain.


There are some great examples here. These would really finish off the packaging of a product.
