I love these cute and fun fashion illustrations.

Grace Ciao, based in Singapore, molds beautiful flower petals into a figurative fabric for her fashionable designs.

The business student overlays vivid flowers on a fashion figure and folds them into the shape of a gown or cocktail dress.

She told BuzzFeed that she has loved fashion since she was a little girl, and got her visual start by sewing dresses for her Barbie dolls.

She was inspired to create her flower petal drawings after a rose she was given began to die.

‘I remembered how beautiful it used to be and wanted to ‘preserve’ this beauty. So I made fashion illustrations out of them,’ she told the site.

Soon, she discovered how flowers ‘help me create prints, which I otherwise couldn’t have thought of.

Ciao added that she thinks ‘petals work really well for illustration also because their delicacy and exquisiteness mimic those of a soft fabric.’

While she is studying a subject completely unrelated to her sketches, Ciao has enterprised on her Instagram account’s popularity (it has more than 23,000 followers) by offering freelance commissions as well as fashion sketching lessons. Clever girl.
