Cultivating brand potential

Havering Council – Carepoint Website and Identity

The brief

Havering Council asked Acumen Design to create a brand and new responsive Wordpress website that would provide the public with up-to-date healthcare information. The brief had three clear goals in mind; making healthcare information more accessible and easier to find, increasing traffic and to compliment the face-to-face service that they offer.

Our solution

Using consultation research Acumen Design started by producing a simple and self explanatory positioning statement that would reflect Carepoint's brand ethos of clarity and ease. This ethos continued in to the identity stage were the logo incorporates the internationally familiar ‘i’ symbol.
Acumen Design thoroughly researched what would be needed to create the type of website that would be required to meet both the technical and creative aspirations of the brief. The results from the research helped up to create a comprehensive plan and wireframe that helped the client to see how it would function and iron out any navigation issues before the final design came in to fruition.
Continuing the ‘clarity and ease of use’ theme in to the design and focusing on the menu structure resulted in a simple layout that is highly accessible for the wide range of people that would be needing to use the site.

Project achievements

The new Carepoint brand was received well by the client and the website has received good feed back on its ease of use.
