While having a graphic icon or marque is a useful part of building a new logo and brand, don’t under estimate the importance and power of the type element. If you have the time, and your design agency is both creative and prepared to be flexible, try to mix and match some of the type options with some of the graphic elements. You may be amazed at how different combinations can transform the overall impact of the logo. A simple icon can feel corporate and strong next to one type face, and suddenly become warm and welcoming against a different font. There are so many font styles to choose from, make sure this is not a secondary consideration, but is the perfect style for your brand personality.

A new brand logo that would look great on the masthead of their website, but also have impact in advertising, displays at events and promotional marketing. Aimed at a younger audience considering apprenticeships, the logo had to have character and reflect the three services that come together to deliver the apprenticeship offer – the apprentice, the employer and the training provider.

We created...

An identity that reflects a modern engaging brand while still looking professional and trustworthy. We included core guidance showing how the logo works in full colour and white out against coloured and dark backgrounds. We also separated the colour graduation used in the graphic as an additional brand component that helps to bring character and consistency to their marketing.
