This magazine’s target audience was young students so, by adding the Blippar process to the front cover, users could scan it on their phones using the app and receive digital content such as videos and games. Print still has a strong place in marketing, especially if you can think of fun ways to use it. It really can be a refreshing medium in an online-dominant world.

They needed…
A fun and vibrant magazine to engage with students. As part of a bigger campaign called the UK Year of Education, the British High Commission (BHC) in Malaysia needed a magazine to sell lots of facts and information about the UK education sector. However, while lots of the evidence was statistics and data, it had to be presented in an exciting and dynamic way to attract a young audience and make them feel excited by the opportunities.

We delivered…
A contemporary magazine. We designed several concepts for the magazine style and BHC tested the ideas with students to get their feedback. We then evolved our concepts, taking on board the feedback before producing the final sections. Some sections needed a template, such as the ex-student interviews, and other pages needed bespoke design to showcase the content and convey the right message. The project also included art directing a photo shoot with British DJ icon Goldierocks.
