They needed…
A complete overhaul of their website. MacIntyre Hudson is a top 20 accountancy firm and as the practice had grown the website just grew along with them uncontrolled. It had become a cumbersome and under-used resource that was difficult to update. With plans to grow the company further and compete with the top four firms, they needed a website that would promote their best qualities and points of difference in the sector. One of they keys for Acumen Design winning the pitch against other digital agencies was our understanding of the brand strategy within the web project.

We delivered…
A step-by-step process for the web development. Starting with both customer and staff research we asked lots of questions to establish the true needs and requirements of their website in today’s business world. We also delivered a focus group at their London offices to gain more in-depth knowledge. The final stage of research was to evaluate competitor websites and look at those beyond the accountancy sector that shared similar values as MacIntyre Hudson.

With a clear brief for the website, we then starting planning the pages with both a sitemap and wireframe. We spent a lot of time making sure the new page structure enabled effective cross-selling of services, and most importantly, highlighted their best quality - the knowledge and expertise of the senior managers and partners. The new website had to really showcase the staff at MacIntyre Hudson as this was highlighted as one of their biggest strengths.

With a defined plan we then moved to the design and build stages of the website. The design was inspired by the new visual brand strategy that we also created. Each page design focussed on user experience, with clear content areas and delivering related and useful information at the same time. We focussed on the menus and navigation, testing against user scenarios to make sure everything was clearly signposted and accessible.
